Getting Started with the TERA REST API

TERA advertises REST API capabilities. Integrations should be built only against an official, supported API reference and with access approved for the relevant plan.

Check Availability

TERA plan documentation identifies API access tokens under Enterprise. Confirm current entitlements before beginning integration work.

Request the API Reference

Obtain the supported base URL, API version, authentication mechanism and endpoint specification from TERA. Never guess endpoints by inspecting internal web requests.

Set Up a Secure Test Environment

Use nonproduction files where possible, store credentials in server-side secrets management and avoid placing private tokens in a browser app.

First Request Checklist

Once an official endpoint is provided, prepare the documented request method, authorization header, parameters and response handling. Verify it with a test account.

Going to Production

Implement error handling, permission checks, rate-limit awareness, retries, logging without secrets and an appropriate token rotation process.
