Sharing links make it easy to collaborate, but they should be reviewed regularly to ensure that only the intended recipients can access your content.
TERA provides file-sharing controls designed to help you manage access to shared files and folders.
A link created for a temporary purpose may no longer be needed after a project ends.
Reviewing sharing access helps you:
Reduce unnecessary exposure of files.
Identify links that are no longer required.
Check whether security restrictions remain appropriate.
Maintain control over external collaboration.
Sign in to your TERA account.
Find the file or folder you previously shared.
Open its sharing settings.
Review the available sharing information.
Check the applicable access restrictions and permissions.
If your interface provides editing controls, review the settings that can be changed, such as password protection, expiration date, or access permissions.
Save any changes and confirm that the resulting access behavior meets your requirements.
When a link is no longer needed, use the available sharing controls to disable or remove access.
After revoking access, verify that the link no longer provides the access you intended to remove.
Removing a sharing link does not automatically remove copies already downloaded by recipients.
For sensitive documents, consider this limitation before granting download access.
Review temporary sharing links after projects are completed.
Remove unnecessary external access.
Use expiration dates where appropriate.
Apply password protection to confidential links.
Periodically review shared folders containing sensitive content.
